- More common in India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan
- More common in north India
- Disease also affects animals like cows, bulls, horses etc
- Mostly it affects nose and nasopharynx

- lip, palate
- Conjunctiva
- Epiglottis,larynx
- Trachea,bronchi
- Nose
- Leafy, polypoidal mass
- Pink to purple in colour
- Studded with white dots
- aka strawberry mass
- Mass bleeds on touch
- Biopsy
- Sporangia filled with spores
- Complete excision with diathermy knife
- with cauterization of its base
- Dapsone has been tried with some success
