  • Lid edema
  • Circumcorneal congestion
  • Corneal signs
    • Corneal edema
    • Keratic precipitates - Pathognomonic Sign
  • Aqueous cells
    • Neutrophils present in AC
    • Hallmark of iridocycltis
  • Aqueous flare
    • Earliest sign of acute anterior uveitis
    • Protein deposition in aqueous humor
  • Hypopyon
    • Sterile pus in AC
  • Iris nodules
    • Koeppe’s nodules – present on pupillary margin
    • Busacca’s nodules– present on surface of iris
  • Synechiae
    • Anterior synechiae may cause glaucoma
    • Posterior synechiae may cause cataract
  • Pupil
    • Acute cases – Miosis
    • Chronic cases – Festooned pupil
  • IOP
    • Acute cases - Raised IOP
    • Chronic cases – reduced IOP (ciliary body atrophy)
  • Anterior vitreous cells
  • Snow ball opacities
  • Snow banking
  • Cystoid macular edema (MC cause of vision loss)
  • Periphlebitis
  • Creamy yellow patches
  • Head light in fog appearance
    • Chorioretinits (head light) + Vitritis (fog)
    • Seen in Toxoplasmosis
  • Collection of inflammatory cells of the corneal endothelium
  • Most common: inferiorly
  • Mutton fat KP: Macrophages – granulomatous uveitis
  • Small and Medium KP: lymphocytes – Non granulomatous uveitis
  • Fine KP/ Stellate KP - Endothelial dusting
    • Fusch hetrrochromia iridocyclitis
    • herpetic iritis
    • CMV retinits
  • Old KP – healed uveitis
  • Pigmented KP – Chronic non granulomatous uveitis
